NY Giants Co-owner Steve Tisch Talks Super Bowl 2014, Plax and LT
New York Post writer Steve Serby recently sat down with
New York Giants co-owner/chairman Steve Tisch. Tisch spoke on several topics, including the
New York Giants and Jets
Super Bowl 2014 bid, former
New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress and the recently arrested Lawrence Taylor. Here's a brief overview of what Tisch had to say.
On the Super Bowl 2014 bid: "I would say I'm an optimist by nature. I don't think I will characterize this as a slam-dunk by any means...I'm guardedly optimistic."
On Plaxico Burress returning to the NFL and the New York Giants: "I would be very much in favor of Plaxico returning to the
NFL when he is released. I haven't yet gone to visit him, but I intend to over the summer."
On the letter Plaxico Burress sent him: "A very heartfelt letter explaining to me how badly he felt about personally disappointing me and my father's memory. It's something I'll keep and remember forever."
On the recently arrested Lawrence Taylor: "It's an unbelievably sad, tragic, confusing and disheartening situation."

Several members of the
New York Giants front office, including John Mara and Tom Coughlin, have had very positive things to say about Plaxico Burress. While stating that they would welcome Burress back into the
NFL family, nobody within the front office has directly said that he would want Burress playing wide receiver for the Giants ever again. Most New York Giants and
NFL journalists/experts believe Burress will never return to the Giants.
